The Problem with Wood

Termites happen. I lived in Florida, trust me… termites have no respect for our houses, or the gods. Adam of Bremen wrote of the Temple in Uppsala:
“The statues of their gods are fearsome in appearance, and the craftsmanship superb. But the termites pay no heed. They lay waste to the idols with the same vigor a starving man might devour a broasted chicken. All attempts to permanently eradicate the tiny beasts are met with failure, for although these people are impressive with axe and sword, they have little knowledge of the alchemy required to protect their structures from wood devouring insects.”
Extra credit if you can ID the gods.
Thor, Odin, and I’m guessing Heimdal?
