Baldur learns about the real world from his “Uncle Loki.” Yeah, it’s about time.
And on a completely unrelated note, happy birthday Abraham Lincoln.

Odin decides to return to Earth after his long respite in outer space. Although he might be aloof when it comes to human affairs, he still has his responsibilities. Odin dreads the problems the humans have created in his absence, problems that will certainly require his attention on return.
His return should fill the hearts of the humans with joy…
It takes the humans a while, but eventually they do catch on…
Someone up there doesn’t like them very much.
I figured it’s been a while since you guys enjoyed a good lightning comic, a veritable subgenre here at Odin and Friends. I’ve tried to expand the format a bit by including likelike flames, smoke, and other signs of conflagration.
Odin and Thor gaze in shocked disbelief at Loki’s new fun park. Suddenly, they are interrupted by a human tourist from Midgard seeking a photo.
Man, there are things you just don’t say to Viking gods…
The humans continue to bombard Odin with endless prayers of war and peace and victory in sports competition. Odin contemplates sending a fireball to wipe out the entire pathetic species. The humans need to leave the gods well enough alone and solve their own problems. Putting his head in the mouth of a fire breathing dragon would be less torture than what the humans put him through.
Baldur notices two humans fighting after a football game and figures this is a great opportunity for a benevolent god like himself to intervene. He tells the humans to relax, that a Viking god has arrived to help them talk things out peacefully, but he is mocked for his winged helmet and accused of being the god of the fairies.
Baldur ponders what he did wrong as the humans proceed to kill one another.
Baldur is determined to do some good in the universe. His father Odin would be happy if he grew up to be a giant-slayer like his brother Thor, but he wants to promote peace, not violence. In Alfheim, the Elves already dwell in peace, and in Svartalfheim, the dwarves are beyond hope. Which leaves the humans on Midgard…
Death, murder, exploitation, racism, greed, and Viking comics… Baldur wonders if maybe he should start his campaign of goodness with a community garden.
