This comic may seem absurd, but about 10 years ago I saw a box fall off the back of a truck and explode in the street. The box was filled with string cheese, and people on the sidewalk started rushing the street and cutting off traffic to get at the free cheese. So the idea of pork rinds falling from the sky and folks fighting with one another to eat them is not completely unbelievable to me. And what better way for the God of Mischief to sabotage someone’s diet than to pelt them with delicious crunchy deep fried pork fat?
The cheese was pretty good, by the way.
Loki has to make reparations to Santa for killing four of his reindeer and a couple of his elves. Even worse… he has to return his new “night light”. Which is just as well since the thing is really starting to reek. After all, Loki is the God of Mischief, not the God of Tannery.
Hugin and Mugin tell Odin everything he needs to know. There is not a slaughtering or slaying that escapes him.
It’s not the kill that excites Loki, it’s the thrill of the chase. Nah, that’s a lie as well. It’s the kill. Loki really enjoyed throwing that hand grenade into Santa’s reindeer corral.
Tis the season… for mayhem. Reindeer Games is a six part mini holiday saga adventure series starting now!
Baldur and Loki are eager to attend the Halloween party on Midgard. But first Loki has some Halloween mischief to attend to. When you’re the world’s greatest prankster, Halloween is a work night.
After decorating Odin’s mead hall in fine style, the two adventurers make their way to earth to party with the pagans.
Happy Halloween!
Loki explains his daily chores as Mischief God to Baldur:
Mechanical disasters are a great way to start the day.
Next come political scandals and fomenting social unrest.
Afternoons are spend undercover, seeding doubts and spreading rumors.
A portion of each day is also spend to the research and development of new techniques of creating chaos. Lately, Loki has become intrigued with the anarchic possibilities of large scale computer malfunctions.
Truly, creating mayhem is a full time job!
Loki and Baldur watch from the clouds as two planes nearly collide in the sky above Midgard. Next, on a steep mountain road, a yellow schoolbus loses its brakes and careens towards a truck of live chickens.
Looks like just another day at the office for the God of Trickery…
